Islam teaches that Hell is a real place prepared by God for those who do not believe in Him, rebel against His laws, and reject His messengers. Hell is an actual place, not a mere state of mind or a spiritual entity. The horrors, pain, anguish, and punishment are all real, but different in nature than their earthly counterparts. Hell is the ultimate humiliation and loss, and nothing is worse than it. "Our Lord! Surely, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed You have disgraced him, and never will the wrongdoers find any helpers." (Quran 3:192) "Know they not that whoever opposes God and His Messenger (Muhammad), certainly for him will be the Fire of Hell to abide therein? That is the extreme disgrace." (Quran 9:63)

The Messenger of Allaah (sallaAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Of the people of Hell there are two types whom I have never seen, the one possessing whips like the tail of an ox and they flog people with them. The second one, women who would be naked in spite of their being dressed, who are seduced (to wrong paths) and seduce others with their hair high like humps. These women would not get into Al-Jannah and they would not perceive its odor, although its fragrance can be perceived from such and such distance. (Saheeh Muslim) O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (iescreen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. [Soorah Al-Ahzaab 33.59]

Learn how to perform Wudu' Ablution كيفية الوضوء
1. It is recommended to say بِسم الله "Bismillah" (with the Name of Allah) while washing the hands. 2. It is recommended to wash the two hands with the wrists three times (figure-1- ). 3. It is recommended to rinse the mouth three times using the right hand (figure -2- ). 4. It is recommended to draw water into the nose with the right hand and to blow it out of the nose with the left hand three times (figure-3- ). 5. It is an obligation to have the proper intention. When the water touches the first part of your face say in your heart "I intend to perform wudu'". 6. It is an obligation to wash your face, from the normal hairline to the chin and from one ear to the other including the hair and skin. The inner part of the man's thick beard is excluded (figure-4- ). If a string was put at the middle of the forehead at the normal hairline and drawn to the top of the ear, then one washes all that would be below that string, both hair and skin, with the ears excluded (figure-4a-4b). It is recommended to wash the face three times. 7. It is an obligation to wash the hands, forearms, and elbows. It is recommended to wash them three times each. Start with the right and then the left (figure-5- ). 8. It is an obligation to wet wipe part of the head, between the normal hairline and the occiput (figure-6- ). 9. It is recommended to wet wipe both ears three times (figure-7- ). 10. It is an obligation to wash the feet with the ankles. It is recommended to wash them three times starting ...

Wudu starts at 2:28 This is an example of Wudu as performed by the Maliki Sheikh Khatri during a visit to the United States. He demonstrates that wudu can be an act of Ibadah (worship), rather than just a nonsensical act that people feel unwittingly obliged to do. The length and depth of the wudu is astounding. He also includes dhikr in it. Sheikh Khatri Al-Maliki studied under the Alim Murabit Al-Hajj in Mauritania. PLEASE READ: Don't ever judge a woman by her cover - A hijabi is no better then a non-hijabi, and a sister who choses not to wear make-up is no better then a sister who does. Only Allah knows our heart - Assume the best in others :) Haters, before you hate - Sometimes issues like make-up and appearance are important to potential converts - the idea of automatically going to no make-up and full hijab scares a lot of young women, to the point where they might not convert. So, would you rather them not convert or to stop practicing- or take the path that they are comfortable with? Be nice with your words and advice! Remember, your opinion is what you chose to follow - There are many scholars who have many opinions about this! There are a lot of opinions out there about whether or not a Muslim can wear make-up. Scholars debate this issue, and for new converts, it's hard to find a solid yes/no answer - Mostly, because there is not just ONE answer. With issues like this, you have to do research to find out what the SCHOLARS are saying, and follow your heart with what you think is right. Some scholars say make-up is wrong, some say it's fine - it's up to you to decide.

How to make wudu correctly *Ablution* Muslims make Ablution before prayer. Allah's Messenger peace be upon him said, The key to Paradise is prayer and the key to prayer is cleanliness (Ablution). O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salât (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles. If you are in a state of Janâba (ie had a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes from answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (ie sexual intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. Allâh does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful. Eloquent, articulate and outspoken are some of the words that describe Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips. His quest to search for the truth led him from his birth island of Jamaica to the streets of Toronto where he grew up and accepted Islam in 1972. This journey has led him down many paths and he is known the world over as an Islamic scholar, Lecturer, Author and Thinker. Dr. Abu Ameenah completed his BA from the College of Islamic Disciplines (Usool ad-Deen) at the Islamic University of Madeenah in 1979, and thereafter went on to complete his Master's in Aqeedah at the University of Riyadh in 1985 and finally obtained his PhD from the University of Wales, UK in Islamic Theology in 1994. He has taught Islamic Education and Arabic in private schools, lectured M.Ed. students in the Islamic Studies department of various universities and has founded Islamic information centers while traveling extensively across the globe imparting Islamic knowledge as dictated by the Islamic tradition. Abu Ameenah enjoys playing squash at least three times a week with his wife and sons as a means of keeping fit and de-stressing and he also supervises his children in martial arts. It is interesting to note that in his earlier days, he acquired a black belt in Karate. [ENG SUBS] Shaheed Mutahhari I Purification of the Soul (Tazkia Nafs)
Ayatullah Murtaza Mutahhari is one of the principal architects of the new Islamic consciousness in Iran. Shaheed Mutaheri was born on February 2, 1920, near Mashhad. He studied Fiqh, Usool, Tafsir and Islamic philosophy. He studied in Qum from 1944 until his departure for Tehran in 1952. In Qum he was among the prime desciples of Allama Tabatabai and Imam Khomeini. The particular school of philosophy to which Shaheed Mutaheri adhered was that of Mulla Sadra whichis a theosophy called "sublime philosophy". In 1952, Shaheed Mutaheri left Qum for Tehran and started teaching philosophy and Islamic Ideology in Seminaries and ,later, at Tehran University. In Tehran, Shaheed Mutaheri found a broader field of religious education and political activity. Ayatullah Mutaheri is one of two or three great contemporary Islamic thinkers of Iran. He was acquainted with modern ideologies and presented the Islamic perspectives in different spheres. His thought is internally consistent. His books may be considered as most lasting and important contribution to the rebirth of Islamic Iran. When the Islamic Revolution of Iran triumphed in 1978, Shaheed Murtaza Mutahhari was made Chairman of the Revolutionary Council. But he was assassinated on May 1, 1979 by a group known as Furqan. When the sad news was conveyed to Imam Khomeini he could not control his tears. In his condolence message he said, "In him I have lost a dear son. I am mourning the death of one who was the fruition of my life." He ...
