The Qasida Burda was composed by Imam Sharafuddin Muhammad Al-Busiri(Egypt) more than 7 hundred years ago after he dreamt that the Prophet (saw) had placed his mantle around him in his sleep. was then suffering from paralysis and had prayed to Allah (Ta'ala) for recovery before nodding off to sleep.
