Sayyiduna Abu Dardah ( Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu ) reported: the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "Whoever recites durood on Me in the morning ten times and in the evening ten times, for him shall be My intercession on the day of Qiyamah." Hazrat Jibrail [Alayh Salam] once came to Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and said "Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) has given me the knowledge to count every leaf on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand on earth, but there's only 1 thing I cant count." Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم asked Jibrail(Alayh Salam) "What is it?" Jibrail(AS) replied, "When one of Your(صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم )Ummati recites Durood or Salaams to You (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ), the blessings Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) showers upon him becomes impossible for me to count."
