Learn how to perform Wudu' Ablution كيفية الوضوء
1. It is recommended to say بِسم الله "Bismillah" (with the Name of Allah) while washing the hands. 2. It is recommended to wash the two hands with the wrists three times (figure-1- ). 3. It is recommended to rinse the mouth three times using the right hand (figure -2- ). 4. It is recommended to draw water into the nose with the right hand and to blow it out of the nose with the left hand three times (figure-3- ). 5. It is an obligation to have the proper intention. When the water touches the first part of your face say in your heart "I intend to perform wudu'". 6. It is an obligation to wash your face, from the normal hairline to the chin and from one ear to the other including the hair and skin. The inner part of the man's thick beard is excluded (figure-4- ). If a string was put at the middle of the forehead at the normal hairline and drawn to the top of the ear, then one washes all that would be below that string, both hair and skin, with the ears excluded (figure-4a-4b). It is recommended to wash the face three times. 7. It is an obligation to wash the hands, forearms, and elbows. It is recommended to wash them three times each. Can a woman wear make-up during prayer? Only Allah knows our heart - Assume the best in others :) Haters, before you hate - Sometimes issues like make-up and appearance are important to potential converts - the idea of automatically going to no make-up and full hijab scares a lot of young women, to the point where they might not convert. So, would you rather them not convert or to stop practicing- or take the path that they are comfortable with? Be nice with your words and advice! Remember, your opinion is what you chose to follow - There are many scholars who have many opinions about this! There are a lot of opinions out there about whether or not a Muslim can wear make-up. Scholars debate this issue, and for new converts, it's hard to find a solid yes/no answer - Mostly, because there is not just ONE answer. With issues like this, you have to do research to find out what the SCHOLARS are saying, and follow your heart with what you think is right. Some scholars say make-up is wrong, some say it's fine - it's up to you to decide.

How to make wudu correctly *Ablution* Muslims make Ablution before prayer. Allah's Messenger peace be upon him said, The key to Paradise is prayer and the key to prayer is cleanliness (Ablution). O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salât (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles. If you are in a state of Janâba (ie had a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes from answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (ie sexual intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. Allâh does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful.
