Even as the festivities of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's marriage continue in Delhi, the leading Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has termed the wedding as "anti-Islam". The reason why the wedding has been labeled anti-Islam is because Kareena Kapoor, a Hindu, did not convert to Islam before the marriage. According to the Deoband seminary located in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, "Kareena did not convert to Islam before her marriage with Saif. Islam does not approve of such marriages."
