Part 2. official title: Boundless love: my African dream. Here a view excerpt from this beautiful documentary. Very impressive documentary about muticultural couples and the problems they experience According to a recent survey, mixed marriages more likely to end in divorce than matches between partners from the same ethnic background. In this four part series we follow four couples from different ethnic backgrounds. At home these couples live in their own 'mini multi-cultural society'. What kind of tensions do these couples encounter? How do they adapt to each other? MY AFRICAN DREAM Dutch AnneMarie (35) and African Amara (34) have a very close relationship. They have a daughter, Kadija (4).Amara is the leader of a band from Sierra Leone and AnneMarie is a social worker. AnneMarie has devoted her life to her husband's music and band. Her parents are quite sceptical about this. In their opinion, AnneMarie sacrifices herself. AnneMarie however, adapts: According to her there is no other way to live with an African man. When Amara, AnneMarie and Kadija go to Sierra Leone for a holiday, a bizarre event changes the course of their lives. www.idfa.nl Film Credits: Walther Grotenhuis
